Medium: Background image taken by me, glitched with Audacity and edited with Photoshop
About: The purpose of this piece was to recreate an album cover and have it still fit the theme of the music. I picked Paramore’s After Laughter, which is one of my favorite albums because I feel like I can relate to it very personally. For the background image, I used an old image I took of a cliffside beach by my hometown and uploaded it to Photoshop to convert it to an audio file. From there, I added the file to Audacity and played around with the effects in order to glitch it. Using Photoshop, I fixed the colors so that the ocean appeared mostly blue, and filtered the cliff to be black and white. The center image was edited on Photoshop as well as the addition of the logos. I had a lot of fun with this project because I feel like I had a lot of room for creativity to work on an album I love.
